Burn virtual DVD disc with DeepBurner 1.8 and Phantom Burner

Create a new DVD image

Start Phantom Burner

Switch to the "Operations" tab.

Click on the "Create" button.

Phantom Burner will prompt you for the location of the disc image file.

Make sure the "disc type" is set to "DVD+RW".

The "Convert data disc to ISO format" option tells Phantom Burner to use ISO as data disc image format. ISO is a standard format which is supported by many software. For this tutorial, uncheck this option. Phantom Burner will create the image as its own "VDD" format.

Enter the disc image file name and click "Save".

Launch DeepBurner

Install DeepBurner and launch the application. It will ask you what kind of project you want to create.

Create DVD

Select "Create Data CD/DVD".

The next dialog will ask you what kind of multisession support you want to have. Select "No multisession".

DeepBurner's user interface has two windows. One shows you the project layout, the other shows you Windows Explorer.

Navigate and select the files you want to burn.

Drag the files to the layout window.

Click "Burn Disc" button on the toolbar.

You will see the burner panel. Make sure "PHNTMBLT PHANTOM BURNER" is selected as the drive.

Burning DVD

Click "Burn" button. DeepBurner will start burning the disc.

...and soon finishes.

Mount virtual data DVD

As the disc is burned successfully, now we can mount the virtual disc in Windows Explorer, like a regular DVD.

Go to Phantom Burner dialog again.

If you used a real burner, you will have to eject the disc first, then mount it. It is the same with Phantom Burner.

First, click the "Eject" button to eject the "disc".

Then click "Mount Last Image"  to mount the image we juse created.

Now, when you go back to Windows Explorer, you will see the DVD available. You can double-click to see its content.
